Prorector Education

The Prorector Education is responsible for all matters relating to teaching and learning.

The focus is on sharpening the teaching profile of the university in accordance with the Saxon University Development Plan and adapting the course of study to an increasingly heterogeneous student body.

Innovative teaching and learning: New concepts, especially teaching and learning in digital media and virtual spaces, are promoted. Lecturers are supported by university didactics and have the opportunity to receive differentiated further training. At Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, a wide variety of projects such as SEM, Initiatives und das Institute for Knowledge Transfer and Digitization are dedicated to this.

Creating study and teaching processes: Students are supported from the start of their studies to their successful graduation and can rely on a wide range of support elements. Measures to ensure the quality of teaching and increase student success are important instruments for promoting good teaching. In addition to the training of professional and scientific skills and abilities, the acquisition of key competencies is an important part of the curriculum.

Further develop our teaching profile: Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has a traditional range of engineering and economics courses with interdisciplinary interfaces, especially with industrial engineering, as well as a focus on media sciences and laser research.
